Charlie Podominick will talk about Slovenian genealogy and researching your roots. He has spent a month for each of the past 5 years in Slovenia researching Slovenian geneology. (Coffee and rolls served - $4.00 per person)

Sue Rademacher and Mike Koski will present plans for our booth at the Festival of nations, and if time allows, Sue will give a presentation on her trip to Slovenia in September of 2011. (Coffee and rolls served - $4.00 per person)
Saturday, May 19th – Membership Meeting at the Little Venetian Inn, 9:30AM
Chuck Debevec will talk about the history of Slovenian American recorded music. His presentation will include examples of music and photos of Slovenian American musicians. Chuck's collection includes over 80% of the recordings made between 1913 and 1958. (Coffee and rolls served - $4.00 per person)
Announcing the Slovenian Lending Library
Twin Cities Slovenians members can now take a book out 'on loan' through the Slovenian Lending Library. The books can be by Slovenian authors, about Slovenia, and even Slovenian recipes! Members bring books to a meeting and put them into a box. Other members can 'check out' books by providing their name, phone number and the book title. Books are due back at the next meeting.
October 4th to May 29th – Slovenian Language Study Group
The study group meets every Tuesday from October 4th to May 29th (except for December 27th), 6:30 - 9:00pm at St Frances Cabrini Church, 1500 Franklin Avenue SE, Minneapolis.
